Let May 19, 2016 mark the day I passed actuarial Exam P on my first attempt. I feel pretty good.
I had Five Guys to celebrate and a diet grape Faygo from Sheetz to celebrate. I always thought they ought to make a diet variety because there's so much sugar in it. I'm glad to discover that they have, and it's pretty tasty.
My family's happy for me, and I'm pretty proud. I think I really nailed that exam. I'll get the exact score in about eight weeks, they said, but the form I got in the end said that I scored sufficiently well to secure a passing grade.
At the testing center they offered over-ear noise cancellers for test-takers. I put mine on as immediately as I was allowed, and I was glad for it. There were so many sick people in there! In addition to all the coughing, sniffling, and sneezing, there was this one guy in there who kept making these unearthly sounds at regular intervals to the point where I could almost predict when he'd make the next sound. Those headphones helped a good deal, though. I didn't recognize any actuarial students from my university in the waiting room or in the exam room, from what I could tell.
Hopefully, this means I will be able to move on to doing more audio readings and getting back to a number of you people on here I have neglected to respond to in lieu of studying and trying to keep a level head about the exam.
